Disneyland Weekend Fun

Our first stop at Disneyland was Space Mountain. The kids couldn't wait to get on it again. Madison really wanted an autograph book. We decided to get one to share since we had two days there and have never gotten one before. It was fun to see her so excited about getting all the autographs.Rapunzel and Flynn were, by far, the girls favorite ones to get. We really sacrificed to get them too. It was during one really bad downpour. Todd thought we were nuts for standing thirty minutes to go see Tangled, but Abby was so excited. We were prepared with all our rain gear.
The rain kept coming so we decided to go see some indoor things that evening. Todd was so excited to experience the Tiki Room for the first time...not...but he always wondered what is was. Then we went over to the Lincoln show. We thought we might as well since it was presidents weekend and the kids are learning about the presidents at school. They really liked it surprisingly, or maybe they were just ready to sit for a while.
When we came out we found where all the characters hide during the rain, and Madison got the autographs she was waiting for.

It was interesting to walk through some of the indoor stuff we usually skip.
The next day was beautiful. Only some light showers here and there.
We spent a lot of time at California Adventure.
We went in to see the Talking With Crush (from Nemo) show. It was cool that Crush picked Madison to talk, who of course would not so he picked Hailey and then Todd.
The kids thought it was pretty cool.
Abby loves the princesses right now, especially Belle. She was so excited to be in her Library. She has been watching that movie a lot, so she was so excited to talk all about it.

Hailey was finally tall enough to ride California Screamin', so me and the little ones stood in a very long line for Woody. They were two happy little girls. We also saw the new water show over there. Very cool! The Cars stuff that is coming also looks really cool.
We had a great time. Better than being cooped up in the rain for four days at home. The kids are always so good at Disneyland and get along really well. They deserved the cotton candy at the end of a great weekend together!

Thanks Daddy for taking us! Todd did someone a big favor and in return we got Disneyland passes and a fun weekend away. We did not expect anything at all. Thank you to some amazing family friends!

Lunch at Goofy's Kitchen

The kids had a four day weekend for President's Day so we decided to get stay at a hotel and spend a couple of days at Disneyland. The kids were so excited because our room had two rooms, and one of them had a bunk bed. I think that was their favorite thing of the whole trip. Our first day we went to lunch at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.
The kids loved eating lunch there.
They loved the fact that is was a buffet, and they had lots to choose from.

They had a great time talking and dancing with all of the characters.
Blake had to try the macaroni and cheese pizza. Two of his favorites in one.
Nobody dared the peanut butter and jelly pizza they also had.

Good times!

Kindergarten Valentine's

For Madison's class party I went in and helped them make puzzle frames that said "I Love You To Pieces!". We also played a couple of Valentine games and passed out Valentines. Then they got to watch a Valentine movie and have popcorn and licorice.

Madison was so happy to get Valentines from all of her friends. She loved reading them over and over. She gave all of her friends a little valentine monster that pops up that read, "I hope you have a monster sized valentine!." They were a hit with the kids. They loved popping them off their desks.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Girls Only Valentine Party

The girls and I decided to have a girls only Valentine party. They always are getting into the craft stuff when they have friends over so we decided to get everyone over to make valentines. Todd and Blake left to have a little guy time at Mulligans.
Hailey had all her friends over from church, and Madison had a friend from church and one from school over. Hailey was very into decorating for the party and made heart garlands and pink and red paper chains. Madison and Abby helped me make the cupcakes while the older kids were at school.

We played Valentine Bingo, Heart Twister and made lots of Valentine cards. I also helped them make some cards I had cut out with my cricut. They loved having a little mini card making class.
Riley, Madison, and Maddie

Karis, Hailey and Ryann
Rory, Hailey and Trista
Crazy little Valentines! They loved being with the big girls.
Everyone had a great time! Happy Valentine's!

Valentine Boxes

The kids all need to make Valentine's for their friends at school and boxes to put them in. So we were busy one night assembling everything. Blake really wanted to make a dinosaur. He came up with his own design. Impressive! Madison wanted to make a ladybug. I knew those circle boxes I was saving around would come in handy some day.
Hailey just wanted to cover her box with anything she could find from my scrapbook room.

The were so proud to take their boxes to school.

Horsing Around at the Ranch

One Saturday afternoon we went as a family to a horse rescue ranch. They have an open barn the first Saturday of the month. They gave the kids a bucket of carrots to feed the horses. The kids were hesitant at first but all of them eventually did it. The horses really interacted with the kids.
Hailey really loved it. She talked to each of the horses and made sure they were loved. She really loved Spike the horse.

The girls were all so excited to wear their cowgirl boots on a real farm. They loved climbing all over the hay.

They let the kids have a ride on a horse. They really liked that. She said they all seemed like riders because they had such good posture and looked forward. I guess if you look to the side the horse will turn.
What a cute cowgirl!

Abby had the biggest grin on her face.
She kept trying to compose herself, but she couldn't stop smiling.

Blake was excited that we could come back and bring his cub scout group.
