Baking with Friends

When we got back to Utah the next day I had forgotten that we had playgroup at our house.  So we decide to make it a gingerbread day and do some baking.
Abby and her friends love cooking!

Such adorable little chefs!

Leaf Fight

After some serious smiling for the camera everyone was ready for a serious leaf fight!

Now it is time for turrkey!

Grateful!

Thanksgiving morning we went to take some family pictures . We went to the Garden Ward building with a pond and waterfall behind it. It is beautiful.  I wish it was our building. It is perfect for wedding receptions.   The kids also loved exploring it.  It was covered in leaves and very colorful.  I got my camera out and tried to get some shots for our Christmas cards this year.
Luckily the kids liked the spot, so everyone was pretty cooperative for the most part.

These are a few of the shots I got.  I also had to get Blake's picture with the cool car in the field behind Grandma and Grandpa's house.
We liked the spot so much we called over to Grandma's to send someone to take a family shot.  Uncle Brett came to the rescue!
I am happy to say we got some cute fall pictures!
I am truly grateful for this bunch!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving this year was at Grandma Newbold's house.  Everyone was there.  While everything was cooking Grandma helped all the kids make tee pees.  Abby and Bryce loved being able to dip them in chocolate.

Grandpa and Dad carving the turkey!

The table is set and ready for 25 people!
 The little kiddo's table.
They loved sitting together and toasting with nice glasses.

 Hailey and Sarah!
The newlyweds of the bunch.  Their first Thanksgiving together.  We managed to really get them blushing playing games later that night :)
Happy to be together and ready for some turkey!
We had a great dinner thanks to Grandma.  Then we played some games after dishes and more dishes.  Half of the crew went to play a game of laser tag to work off their dinner.  Blake and Lance have decided that is now a tradition when we come to Utah for Thanksgiving since they did it two years ago.  I relaxed to get ready for our Black Friday shopping.  Todd and I went from 11pm until 3am.  Then Robin and I went from noon to 5 the next day.  It was a great Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Newbold Family!

Up House Tour

There is a builder in Utah who made a replica of the house in the Disney film Up.  We had to go check it out.  It is out my Aunt Holly's and Aunt Angie's house.  When it first opened they even had tons of balloons attached to the house.  Let's see if there is any mail.  Madison, Bryce and Jazmin found some brochures.
Every detail was like the movie.  Here is the picture just like in the movie.

One of the rooms they made into a Toy Story Room.  Bryce and Madison liked this one.
 The tub was pretty cool!
They even had short litttle ties for the guy in the movie.
Blake and Lillie in the babies room.  The kids could not resist picking her up.  She is pretty cute.
The hallway had framed pictures of the movie too.

Todd and I thought the kitchen with the blue retro appliances was pretty cool!
Bryce and Abby loved the backyard where the could run!  Apperently the house sold for $400,000 to a California couple who loves the movie but you could still tour it for a little while longer.  I am sure they will be the talk of the neighborhood.

Sweet's Candy Store Tour

The kids have the week off of school so we went to Utah for Thanksgiving this year.   We were trying to find some new things that we haven't done before.  I heard about a candy store tour and the kids wanted to try it out.  Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Robin, Jazmin, Aunt Angie, Bryce and Lilli all came along to.
The kids all thought the hats they had to wear were pretty cool and had a good laugh at Grandpa, Daddy, and baby Lilli wearing them.  We were not aloud photos inside the factory, it was really pretty cool though and interesting.  We got to see jelly beans being made, taffy, chocolate orange sticks, and gummy hearts for Valentine's.  They also let us sample along they way.  Everyone really liked the jelly beans before they got the hard shell on them.
After we all got a bag of candy in the store.  We had to buy some of the movie taffy that they were making that day for sure.  It was soda, carmel and popcorn flavored.  They make some good taffy!  What a sweet way to spend the morning!
