Tarts on Fire

Our friends are starting a new company called Tarts on Fire.  They have created and patented these cool sticks that they us to cook campfire tarts.  They asked if we would help take some pictures on night for their website and facebook page.  We used our friend's backyard and took some shots.
Nick and Jeff.  They are going to make it big one day!  I got great shot just before the sun set!

Hailey was playing with her friend Kate so we brought her along.  They were all giggles those two.

The kids love Tarts on Fire.  Fruit with whip cream is heaven to them.

Tonight we tried them with cinnamon roll dough.  It was delicious!

Cheers to a fun night of roasting tarts with good neighbors and friends!  You can find them on facebook or www.tartsonfire.com.  Yummy!

First Day of School

First Day of school!  Time to get back to a routine and hit the books.  Too bad it is the middle of August and 100 degrees outside!  Luckily these four are all geared up to go back.

The Friday before school started I took Blake to register for Middle School and get his books.  He says he is ready.  I was way more nervous then he was.  He seems to really like it and doesn't mind his teachers.  He was not very excited to hear that they have dances in Middle School at one of the assemblies.  Ha Ha!
Madison and Hailey are the only two in Elementary now.  Now that Hailey is in 4th grade they don't have lunch together anymore.  Hailey and her friends loved playing with Madison and her friends.  Now Madison says she is very busy playing handball at recess with her classmates.  She talks about handball all the time.
Madison is now in second grade and loves her teacher Mr. Johnston.  She calls him Mr. J and he calls her Maddie Ry.  She says you just have to have respect in his class and then you get marbles in the marble jar for a class party.  She loves being in Mr. J's class!
Hailey is now in fourth grade and has Mrs. Holt.  Blake had Mrs Holt and we love her.  She was really hoping to get Hailey and so were we.  She really gets the kids excited to learn.  Hailey can't stop talking about all the fun new things she gets to do in her class.

Abby's Preschool

Abby was already to be back at preschool!  She loves Mrs. Lisa and her preschool friends.  She started a few days before the other kids but she did not mind at all.  She gets up and ready with her backpack and a big smile every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

End of Summer Beach Party

There was an end of the summer beach party the weekend before school started.
Abby was all ready to go!

We will miss our beach days when school starts and soccer season begins

They kids love going to the beach and playing with friends.

Madison loves to dig big holes in the sand.
When she is done digging she loves to ride the waves on her boogie board!

Abby has gotten really comfortable in the water and also loves to ride the waves.  She makes me nervous because she is not afraid at all.
Hailey has really taken to surfing and is constantly practicing.
Blake is off jumping the big waves with friends and having a good time.  They even let Hailey join them every once in a while.
I love hanging on the beach chatting with friends and waiting till late afternoon to get some cool beach pictures.

Tonight we stayed late and had a bonfire.  Abby was pretty wiped out after a day of catching waves and fell asleep watching the fire.
 Good friends and good times!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Ryan

We had Grandpa Ryan over for dinner tonight and an outdoor movie with Ruby, Katie, and Jackson to celebrate his birthday.
Grandpa Ryan had lots of little helpers!

Later the girls decided to have their own little tea party.  They were so cute!

Get Air

We had been waiting for Get Air Trampoline Park to open in our area.  It finally did the weekend before school started right after our trip and Blake's Birthday.  We let Blake call some friends last minute to take to the trampoline place for his birthday and an end of the summer party.

The have a foam pit to jump into that actually vidioes your jump so you can watch it as you wait in line again.

I am not sure who liked it better Dad or Blake.
The boys loved the dodgeball area the best and stayed in there most of the time.

Blake had a great time with his friends!
After we took the boys to our house and had some pizza.  We decided to just put candles in the pizza since it would have been his third cake.  They were some hungry boys after all the jumping!

Happy 11th Birthday Blake!

Tonight was Blake's Birthday Dinner with family and Grandma Di's house.  I can't believe he is already 11 years old and going off to middle school!

Our Last Day

Most families got up early and took off, but we and the Tenney's took our time.  We had to get some more swimming in and we take way longer to load up.  Todd and Tim had to dump the waste and take thier annual dump station picture!

Then we took a group shot on the Campland sign.  One year we are determined to get all the kids.  You can only image what the group would look like!
On the way out we went to In N Out for lunch.  You should of seen the look we got with all 14 kids and four adults!  Luckly we caravaned home because this time Tim's truck blew a hose!!!  We piled kids into the Yukon and Moterhome and got them all to Temecula and Todd went back to change Tim's radiator off the side of the road.  Car problems and all we had a great time and now we have some good stories to tell.

Pool Time

They also have a few pools at Campland so we would usually head to the pools in the late afternoons and play for a while before dinner.
Abby was ready to hit the pool!  She loves swimming in the deep now!
 Hailey and Loa jumping in.
Mason and Blake seeing who can loose their balance first.  I think Mason won this time.
