Fun Weekend Together

It was really nice to have a relaxing three days together.  Todd had been busy at work and the kids have been so busy with school ,sports and playing with other people.  It was nice to have everyone together and playing with each other. Back to business on Monday:(

Nights on Coronado

The best part about when we camp on the Silver Stand is that we drive over to Coronado for dinner, window shop and walk around the island.  We love to see the city at night across the bay.

 

We brought the kids Charger shirts to get a San Diego Charger picture.  They sure are cute fans!!!

Swimming with the Dolphins

There were lots of dolphins swimming by one evening.  Hailey was ready to be one with nature and ran right out to try and swim with them.  They were really fun to watch. 

She also found some cool things in the sea and made some "mermaid" jewelery.  Every night and morning we would walk the beach looking for sand dollars and other treasures.  The loved taking their flashlights and looking for late night treasures that the sea brought in.

The Giant Hole

The kids got busy the first day digging a giant hole in the sand.  The had lots of fun designing stairs and a couch to relax on.  We got lucky and he stayed intack all weekend.  They looked forward to playing in it everyday.

 One day they made a slide with the surfboard.  Blake always went head first.  There was LOTS of sand to clean off everyday!  He always has to roll in in.

Our Youngest Surfer!

Abby and Todd did a little surfing together but she did not want to do anything unless he was on the board with her.  So they took turns standing up.

 She loves her surf instructer but was willing to give a new one a try and let Blake teach her alone.  Todd and I wear just kicking back on beach chairs when we saw Blake take her out on the board.  Luckly we had two cameras next to us and were able to capture her first stand up.  Way to go big brother!!!

Beach Camping

The kids had Friday off of school so we had scheduled a few months back reservations at the Silver Strand State Beach.  This what we woke up to every morning!

 The kids had a great time together playing in the waves.

Daddy loves helping everyone surf and catching a few waves himself.  This is the way to take a nap after a morning surf!!!

Labor Day on the Lake

Labor Day weekend we spent some time on the lake trying out our new boat.  Saturday morning Todd took the boat out with a couple of friends and did some wake boarding in the morning.  The kids and I came for an afternoon boat ride.  We love our new boat!  Since Monday was a holiday from school we took the boat out again with some friends and they brought their jet ski along.

 It was a perfect day hanging out in the boat or swimming in the water with friends.

 Rick pulled Todd so he could get some wake boarding in too.  I am not quite ready to drive the boat while Todd is wake boarding yet.  I was glad he got some time in.  He is pretty excited about the wake the boat makes.

It was a great day and not crowded.  Thank goodness.  The lake is only 20 minutes away so we are excited to spend some Saturdays playing on the play.
