Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we had dinner with at Grandma Di's house with the Hillerman's.  I think there were 35 of us this year.  Di and Aunt Carol did a great job on the food!  The turkey was the perfect amount with just about a serving of turkey for left overs.   There were two very long tables and at one end was the girls and at the other table's end was the boys.

There is definitely a lot to be thankful for.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Abby is Thankful for Preschool

Abby has been very busy at school getting ready for the holidays.  Today she had a feast with her friends.  We brought in rolls to share with everyone.  She had a yummy feast!

Her costume she made was very cute.  We had to put Indian braids in her hair so she would be like Pocahantas.  She really got into the whole indian thing.  She played in it all day with the tee pee Grandma Newbold gave the kids years ago.  Her and Madison even made a fake fire I had used for a primary activity.  Todd was up in his office working and could her Madison playing the guitar and took a picture of them playing.  So cute!!!!

The help getting in on some relaxation

It is tough work working with a bunch of seven year olds.  These two girls need a little R&R:)

My favorite part of the spa party

This is the sweetest part of the whole night.  All the girls sitting and soaking thier feet waiting for their pedicures.  I set out a few magazines last minute.  Who would have known how popular the magazines would have been.  They loved looking through Hailey's Bop magazines and chatting about what they say.  They also really got into Todd serving them refills of their smoothies.  He had no idea how busy he would be and how demanding these relaxing little women could be.  It was priceless though watching them sit around and chat:)

Laura was great she gave them a full on pedicure!  Then they were adorable dancing to the new Just Dance Madison had gotten for her birthday.
Madison had a great time with her girl friends.

The Spa Party

As the girls slowly trickled in we had them bedazzle themselves some spa slippers.

Then they all put on a robe and we had pizza and smoothies!

Madison was so looking forward to serving smoothies everyday.  All week she would write down the fruit she wanted on a list and give it to  me to get from the grocery store.
After dinner the girls made sugar scrubs.  Then it was time for a little R&R.  The girls split up and had facials with mud masks and cucumbers with me.
Some went and had their hair styled with Hailey and Ryann.
The rest had manicures with Laura and Kerri.

Madison and her fabulous pink nails!

Getting Ready for Madison's Spa Party

While the kids where at school I got busy setting up for Madison's Spa Party for Friday night. Todd came down and hung some lights for me to create some spa lighting.  She was so excited to come home and see our house transformed into a spa.  She ran right up to get her Pajamas on for her and her doll and wait for her friends to get here at 6pm.
I ordered a pizza for dinner.  I also set out some vegetables, blue slipper cookies, mud mask cheese ball,  and popcorn to snack on.  For her cupcakes I made kids in a spa bath.  They turned out super cute!

Welcome to the spa!  Don't forget to grab a robe and some slippers to decorate.

I set up booths to do hair, facials, and pedicures/manicures.
The girls also made sugar body scrubs to take home with them.
They of course had to have their spa baskets to keep their spa supplies in.
I let Hailey invite a friend over to help do hair for the girls and my friend Laura brought a friend to do the pedicures and manicures for all the girls.

Haiey's Soccer Team Party

The end of soccer season is here.  Hailey was sad to have the season end but excited to be dancing again.  She really had fun playing soccer.  She had a couple coaches for her who were serious soccer players so she learned a lot this year and also had a great time.

Way to play a great season Hailey!

Madison's End of the Season Soccer Party

After spending the day in LA Madison and I hurried back home for her Soccer Party at the Pizza Factory.  She was so excited to dress her doll in her soccer clothes too and take her.
Madison loved playing soccer for the first time.  She was a great defender and had lots of fun playing.  She looked forward to her two practices and game each week.
She really liked Coach Jake.  He was really good with all the girls.  He said he hopes to coach Madison again.
She had lots of great friends on her team from church and school.  It was fun to see her have such team spirit each week at the games.

Madison's American Doll Trip

Madison got a gift certificate from Grandma Di to get a doll from the American Doll store at her family party.  Since there was no school the next day, Madison and I took a drive to LA to the store; just the two of us:).  She was very excited to get there to get her doll.  She read her new Junie B. Jones book all the way there to make the time go quicker.  She is the best kid ever:)!  She knew just the doll; she wanted a doll with brown hair and brown eyes just like her.  She decided to call her Maddie.  I let her get some matching PJ's and a robe so she could bring her doll to her spa party this weekend.

We also went across the way to the new Dylan's Candy Store.  It was fun to look at all the fun candies.  We brought home bacon gum for Hailey to try since she LOVES bacon.  It was disgusting!!!
It was a fun day out with Madison!
