Our little Sickie

Poor Abby had a little stomach bug.  She was so warn out she fell asleep on the table.

I moved her so she could be more comfortable and she sleep almost the whole day.  She is so cuddly when she is sick.  Luckily by evening she was all better and ready to go:)

Old MacDonald Had A Band

Today was Blake's final band performance at school.  They had a few new songs to play for us like Old MacDonald Had A Band.  He liked the trumpet a lot and decided he wants to play again in 7th grade.

Simi Town

Hailey's last big assignment and project for the year was Simi Town.  It is a little pretend town they make and each student is the owner of their own store.  They have to create their own business and they rent a small portion of the classroom.   They have to pay rent and electricity for the week.  They also  have to have enough inventory for the whole week to sell to the students and any parent visitors.

The kids love it and look forward to doing it in fourth grade.  Hailey wanted her store to be called Sticky Styles and she was determined to make a bunch of duct tape jewelery.  She worked hard creating jewlery with duct tape everyday for weeks.  I also bought her supplies to make button rings to make so she could have enough inventory for the week.  She was very excited to sell.  The first day she sold the most making $40.  She was happy she did so well since her costumers were only girls.  So she worked hard each night adding to her inventory and had enough until she sold out Friday.

Abby and I can by one day to shop.  They give you $5 in fake money and let you shop both fourth grade classrooms.  Abby thought it was the best day ever and all the first graders through in a few free deals for her.  She had a bag full of trinkets by the time we left.
Hailey and her friend Trista at their store fronts.   Hailey made a cute duct tape canopy and banner for her booth.  It was a super cute way to learn about money.  Our last school project for the year is done!  Yay!!!

Pool Time

The next morning before heading home we swam in the pool together.  They wanted to spend every last second together.
 These two are so cute!

Blake loves having three boy cousins around his age to goof around with.

Madison loves taking care of Katie and just going with the flow.  She is a sweetheart!
Hailey loved being with the teenagers for a weekend.  They are very good to her.
Kyla and Blake always made some good photo oppurtunites throughout the weekend.  Funny kids!
The Dads and Uncles are always ready to play!  They had a blast making a giant whirlpool with the kids.  They were so proud.

Time to head home after a fun weekend.  Hailey took a quick snooze before heading home.  We had to hurry back for a couple of Memorial Day BBQs.  A fun weekend for sure.  Now one more week until school is out!!!

Last Day on the Lake

The last day Uncle Jamey had finished trying to get the his boat to run and they were able to wake surf instead of shuttle people around.

Always happy to be in the water!!!
The boat was loaded with two or three trips back to the dock.  We definitely had a good time.  Luckily the lifeguard swam and got the car keys I dropped in the water from the dock and our cooler of food did not sink when Todd fell of the boat with it.  We had some good stories to tell for sure:)

The kids loved going on a trip with Di for the first time and hopefully not the last!

Back at the Hotel

We decided to stay at a hotel so everyone could go.  It was nice because it was only one exit away and had a free breakfast in the morning.  So we would all get up and go eat together then head over to the lake.  We had lunch on the lake and then grabbed some dinner late at night from somewhere.  We closed down BJ's one night eating at 10pm.  The kids were falling asleep as their food came.
These three girls did not mind a midnight desert though before hitting the sack!!!  Hailey loved being with Isabelle and Kyla in their room.
We caught Blake sleeping with his fingers in his mouth after a long day of boating.  Ha ha!
Abby seemed to think the king sized bed was only for her!  It seems like that is the way it always goes!
The next morning we would get up and get sun screened up and ready for the day.  Todd should never trust us to do his back:)

The Muddy Beach

The quietest and best beach we would find was also the most muddy on the shoreline.

The kids that it was fantastic and relaxing.

 Boys will be boys!

Taco Tubing

Tubing is always their favorite thing to do.  They love Uncle Jamey's "taco tube" the best.  Even if it isn't hooked up to a boat.  Unfortunately we were down to one boat after the first day but no one seemed to mind as long as their were floats and tubes around.

 Abby, Jamey, Ruby and Katie
Kyla and Hailey.  Hailey loved having Kyla around the whole time.
Abby and Hailey having a great time!

Blake, Zach and Jackson taking it slow.
Di, Jocelyn, sleeping Katie and Kyla riding along.
 What up!!!
Blake was glad when Fletcher got there so he could go fast with someone besides a girl.

Castaic Lake Memorial Weekend

We decided to take a boating trip for Memorial Weekend with the Ryans.
We went to Castiac Lake north of LA and spent two days on the lake.

The kids had a great time with their cousins playing around.
We spent most of the afternoon into the evening on the lake.

It was nice to just sit back and relax.

Even Grandma Di got some R&R in!!!
