The must have a had great time because everyone is smiling and standing near each other!

Newbold Family Christmas Party

Sunday night we had the Newbold family Christmas party at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  The kids were very excited to see their cousins.  Grandma decided to surprise everyone and dress up as Mrs. Claus.  Grandpa was especially surprised!!!

This year Grandma (or Mrs. Clause)  passed out envelops to everyone with some cash.  Half to keep and half to do a random act of kindness.  After we got home the kids used theirs to buy supplies for hygiene kits for the homeless and then went with me and some of the youth in our ward to deliver them to the homeless shelter.  Merry Christmas!

Salt Lake Temple Lights

After a long drive we decided to take a walk around temple square with Grandma and Grandpa.  It was a very COLD walk!!!
After getting dinner went to see the windows at the department store that used to be ZCMI.  Impressive candy ornaments this year.  We also walked over to the church history museum to see the Book of Mormon children's displays.  Then we went across the street to walk under the lights of the trees around the temple.

Abby froze her fingers off so we decided to look at the view from the Joseph Smith Building.

It was much warmer up there.

Winter Utah Trip Here We Come

Abby is all cozy and enjoying a little rest on the 10 hour drive to Grandma Newbold's house.

Christmas at Di's house

Christmas Day after spending time at home together we went to Grandma Di's house in the afternoon for dinner.  It was perfect as always.

Definitely a full house with all the kids there.  They all love being together.

Blake got his fishing pole so he can fish off the pier.  He was very excited to try it out at the pond by our house.
Shopping money for clothes.  Madison couldn't believe it!
 Abby is one priceless gift!!
Thanks you Grandma Di for a great Christmas party.  She pulled off a great day even with having surgery a couple of weeks before.  Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

The kids once again waited until 8am to wake us up and go open presents.  The definitely did lots of peaking downstairs before we got up but did not open any gifts or their stockings yet.  Madison found her horse stable, Abby found the Barbie motor home she had been asking for, Blake got a backpack for all his overnight campouts and Hailey got the Kayak she wanted for our river trips.

Daddy helped Santa make a small store for their American Dolls.  It turned out very cute and was ready for holiday shoppers.
Abby loves he new scarf.  She said she is Mary.
She was even more excited for her next gift.
Lots of Legos for Blake again.  He loves building.
Always a tease!
A peeing puppy.  What more could you want.
Hailey loves her new rolling case full of duct tape.  She will be very busy!
Gymnastics Barbie for our new little gymnast.
According to Hailey, "life is good".

These girls will be ready for the winter!

Christmas Eve

We had a very relaxing Christmas Eve at home.  When Dad came home from work we had dinner and finally made our gingerbread house we bought earlier in the month.  They kids were happy to be in their new pajamas drinking hot chocolate and watching a movie.
Before bedtime we read the Night Before Christmas book Di had given us then got cookies ready for Santa.

Everyone got new slippers with their pajamas.  Blake's were too small but he was fine with that because he wasn't going to wear them anyways.
Time to sleep so Santa can come.
