Our Handy Helper

Todd was busy building a shelf on night for the office when Madison decided she needed to get her Handy Mandy tools out and help. She is a crack up. She does and says the funniest things. The other day I picked her up from preschool and asked her if she wanted to go to the store with me and she said "Sorry Mom and can't go with you today I am just sooooo busy today". I also told her one day that too much soda gives people big bellies and she told me as she lifted her shirt and squeezed her belly that that is ok with her because hers is already big and she LOVES a fat belly. She is too funny to talk to . Too bad she is so quite around other people they don't get to see all of her adorable personality.

The Girls in the Hood

Our street is full of girls now days and some how they always end up at our house. I think they could sense I was getting a little tired of kids running in and out of the house every afternoon because they made a banner for us to hang up that they all signed that said the "The Rockin' Ryans". They are all actually really sweet girls and we are fortunate to have such great neighborhood with so many friends. I have just learned to limit the treats to ottor pops in the outdoor freezer and make it a rule not to ring the doorbell more than once.

Our Cute Cuddly Curlylocks Who Loves to Chatter

Abby is getting so big and is constantly chattering. She goes around the house just talking to anything and everyone. She is constantly taking roll call all day asking where everyone one is. She wakes up in her crib in the mornings singing random words. She is so funny! She loves anything soft and cuddly and hugs whatever is and says "Oh, Oh Puppy". She also loves getting dressed up and dancing around. She is adorable with her curly golden locks and I love snuggling with her in the mornings and watching Dora. What a cutie!

Girls Getaway

I was able to get away with a few friends for a scrapbook weekend. Our plans were to go to a cabin up in Big Bear. Once we had gotten all packed up and a few yards from our house the cabin owner called and said the roads were closed. It just happened to be the stormiest weather in years. We were determined though, so we went and found a hotel on the way that would accomodate us. The hotel was amazing they let us have the conference room for free. We decided to stay there the rest of the weekend and go up to the cabin later in the year since we had already paid. The extra weekend only ended up costing is us each $50 more. Everything worked out perfect. We also were by some of our favorite stores so we did a little shopping and went out for lunch a couple of times Most of the time was spent here in the conference room scrapbooking, chatting and watching chick flicks. I think it was about 1am when I took all these pics.
The hotel also let us put our scrapbook supplies in an extra room to be locked up for no charge. Once everyone's scrapbooks supplies were in the room was packed. We got a good laugh at how crazy we are.

We missed everyone who couldn't make it this time and look forward to doing it again soon.

Tornado, Floods, and Disneyland

The kids were out of school on Monday for Martin Luther King Day and Tuesday for a staff day and we decided to take them to Disneyland on Tuesday despite the rain. The loved it!!! We bought some $3 parkas at 7-11 and we were on our way. Of course when we got to the tram and it was down pouring. Everyone was running from the tram to their cars. Not us we were going to Disneyland even if it was just to see a couple of shows. The guy and at the tram said he is now calling himself a search and rescue worker. It was crazy raining and we ran through a huge paddle to get to the 3D Muppet show. The kids were laughing and loving it.

By the time we got out of the show the sun was shining and we were able to walk on every ride. It was perfect and we ended up staying until Disneyland closed and riding everything we wanted to twice. It drizzled a little at times. My Mom called my phone later that night and said there had been Tornado warnings all day for that area and thought we had gone home. We stayed and had a great time.
Disneyland is the happiest place on earth even in one of the biggest rainstorms!

True Charger Fan

I surprised Todd with tickets to the Charger playoff game between the Jets. I figured he had sat through enough chick flicks with me he deserved his ultimate date night. My friend has season tickets so she scored us some tickets. He is a total Charger fan and loves following the games. He likes to go back and watch the whole game even if he knows the score. When the kids see a football game on they always say "there is Daddy's favorite show". Grandma Di willing took the kids for a day so Todd and I could go to the game. Here is the view from our seats.
We had a great time despite the fact that the Chargers lost to the Jets. Maybe next year!

Saying Goodbye

After we brought in the New Year it was time to go back home. Back to work, school and Christmas cleanup. We had a great time in Utah and lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa. Jazmin and Madison were almost the whole time and Jazmin ended up sleeping over for three nights.
Now we are headed back to the the sunshine where we don't have to bundle up at all. Abby loved get all bundled up and she looked adorable. I however would have to stay home more because getting four kids bundled up every time is a little tiring. We had a great time and appreciate all that my Mom and Dad did to put up with us a week at Thanksgiving and a week at Christmas. Todd and I got to go to lots of movies this winter thanks to them.

Happy New Year! 2010

We wish everyone a Happy New Year! May the New Year bring everyone many blessings!
