The first graders have been studying different animals and their habitats so they went on a field trip to the Wild Animal Park. I was able to be one of the chaperones and spend the day with them.
There were so many chaperones so we were really in charge of our own kids. Hailey was so happy to hang out with her friends and all the Moms.
Hailey and her friend Georgie are wild about the lions.
Hailey thought the gorillas were hilarious, especially when it showed it's back side.
We went to feed the birds, which Hailey was so excited about in the beginning. By the end the girls went running and screaming out of the cage to get away from the extra hungry birds.
The kids did a read-a-thon a few weeks back so everyone earned enough to ride on the tram.
There were nine baby elephants while we were there.
We had a great time together and Hailey is very lucky to have a great class of kids to be with and an amazing teacher.
