Animal Rescue Field Trip

In Cubs we are working on the wild life achievement so we took the boys to a horse rescue ranch we had gone to as a family before. There was a huge cow that had been saved from being slaughtered. It was some one's future farmer's project. It still is a young cow and will grow even bigger. There were a couple of dogs wondering around and some goat. Blake did really good to ignore them. His terrified of dogs. I actually got him petting one of the dogs.

The boys got a kick out of this horse who kept sticking his tongue out. Of course they were fascinated with this horse and the manure.

Wednesdays is volunteer day, but no one was there so we put the boys to work on loading the truck full of food for the animals.

The boys also brought a donation for the rescue, enough to buy a few bags of food for couple of days. After taking the tour they were eager to help. They are all good boys.
