Our New Year's Eve photo shoot with the props the kids painted that I found at one of my favorite Utah craft stores.
New Year's Eve
On New Years Eve we went to see Parental Guidance with Grandma and Grandpa and had Dad's favorite, Crown Burger, for dinner. After the movie we made a stop for our once a year Iceberg shakes and headed back to Grandma's for some fun.
We all got into our pj's and made time capsuls to keep at Grandma's house to open up next year. Then the boys brought out the silly sting guns and the war was on!Grandpa was in the other room watching the game with his eyes shut. He could not get out of all the fun though Abby and Grandma made sure of it!
Let the partying begin!
Snow Fun
This year there was lots of snow in the backyard. The girls took their dolls out to play in the snow. The dolls had their new coats on but the girls forgot to put theirs on!!! They had fun sledding and playing in the snow this year but somehow we never ended up making a snowman. Blake and Madison did make a snow fort though.
Ready for some Utah shopping!!!
Abby was all ready to hit a few stores with us. She carried her new doll, Caroline, around with her the whole time we were on the trip. She is too cute! Everything she or her doll wore she asked me or Grandma to make her a matching outfit. I love my Utah shopping trips to see all the cute boutique ideas. Todd loves meeting up with old friends for some guy time snowboarding. The kids love playing in Grandma and Grandpa's basement with the huge pantry and having their cousins over.
The wAIRhouse with cousins!
Daddy wanted to tryout some of the trampoline places while we were in Utah so we got everyone together and took ove the wAIRhouse.
We had the whole place to ourselves. Everyone had a great time bouncing around and getting some energy out.The foam pit was fun but trust me getting out is not the easiest thing to get out. Abby says they had to call the "lifeguard" to get me out.
Good times!
City Creek Center
Grandpa has been talking about the new City Creek Center they have been building across from Temple Square for years now and it was finally finished. They took down the old ZCMI center that I always used to shop at and made a really cool shopping center. It was just as lite up with lights. They did a great job. Abby was so fascinated by the fact the shopping center's Christmas tree had real snow on it.
Jazmine came along with us and had a sleepover with the girls.
They still like playing in the fountain even if it is freezing out!
So sweet!
They brought back the famous ZCMI windows we used to always go see as kids. This year they had giant oranments made out of just candy.
The kids like guessing all the different candies and seeing how they used them.
Temple Square Lights with Grandpa and Grandma
After being in the car for twelve hours we decided to go see the lights at Temple Square and walk around even though it was only 20 degrees out. It is always so pretty.
Where we first started:)
Grandma and Grandpa were also married in the same temple.
Newbold Family Chrstmas Party
A couple of days after Christmas we headed up to Utah to spend time with our family there. When we get their everyone comes over for dinner and the cousin gift exchange. The kids are very excited to stretch out Christmas a little longer and see everyone.
Cory is missing because he is serving a mission in Washington DC. We should have at least held up his picture:)
Hailey got some more craft things to keep her busy!
Madison and Abby got some winter stuff for their dolls and Blake got a snowboard to try out on the local hills. He was ready to go!
Having fun with cousin!
The kids love the new Disney Headbanz game. It is so funny to listen to them play.
