Hailey loves to camp so we decided to let her have her friends over on night to roast hot dogs, marshmellows and tarts over the fire.
I made her a campfire cake and some smore cupcakes.
When the girls arrived they painted a roasting stick to use later in the night then they made some other camp crafts.
They made smore men.
Aunt Annelise and Todd helped them make twig picture frames for the group shot we took. The girls also splatter painted glow in the dark paint in jars for lightening bug jars.
They had so much fun and so did Aunt Annelise, Todd and I watching them laugh together and hanging out by the campfire.
We had a litttle extra excitment that night also. Our friend had come to pick up his daughter a little early and had gone to the wrong house. Thinking we had the movie on too loud he starting peaking in the windows. It was the wrong house and scared the neighbor girl there alone so she called 911. The sent a helicopter who circled our house for almost ten minutes shining the spotlight on the backyard. Todd and Eric kept saying it had to be nothing and the kids were fine back there. Eventually we just started waving at the helicopter and they would flash the lights. Some of the girls said it had to be the parparazzi. The whole time we relized Todd was in the kitchen talking to the guy they were looking for, our friend Eric. Luckly all the neighbors and us had a good laugh over it. Eric had no idea he had caused all the comotion outside. He joked that it was Hailey's gift from him. It was very funny.
As it got darker we but on Yogi Bear outside and the girls watched until their parents came to get them. It was a really fun night and made me excited for summer nights!
