Muir Beach

After hiking through Muir Woods we drove down to Muir Beach.  It is the north coast so it is cold but very beautiful!

These two are the cutest!

Nothing like a fun trip to keep these two getting along.

Muir Woods Hike

I love the Muir Woods.  Todd and I went here together years ago and it is so pretty. I was excited to take the kids especially Blake.  He loves the outdoors and I knew he would love hiking through here.  When he was seven years old we went to the redwoods near Oregon and he loved it.  It is so refreshing to see so much green!

Madison loves her big brother she loves playing Legos with him and she is always interested in his facts about animals.  I love this picture of them.

Best way to see the tall redwood trees on Daddy's shoulder!!!

Over the Golden Gate Bridge

By the afternoon we headed over the Golden Gate bridge to the Muir Woods to stay the night.

Chinatown

Next stop was Chinatown.  We had to convince Abby were weren't really in China.
We had fun playing around with the different things in the stores.  We weren't brave or hungry enough to try peking duck or any dim sum that they were trying to get you to eat everywhere.

We bought ourselves two more umbrella at the bottom of the street but by the time we got to the top of the street they were broken.  We had a good laugh watching Dad try and get his money back with the Chinese lady in the store.

Last Day in San Francisco

Before exploring more of San Francisco we stopped at the Bay Area American Doll Store for Abby.
She used her birthday money and gift card from Grandma Di to get her a new doll.  She named her Mackenzie and was so excited to take her along for our ride.
Today it was raining a little, but that didn't stop us form seeing everything we wanted to see.  The kids thought it was fun to have umbrellas and do things in the rain since we haven't seen any this year.

These guys are so fun to travel with!!!

Evening at Fisherman's Warf

For dinner we went to the Fisherman's Warf Pier and had Clam Chowder soup and fish and chips and watched to sunset over the bridge.  Yummy!!!  We also walked around the waterfront over to the Ghiradelli building.

So our walk was a little longer then we thought and we ended up making it 10 minutes too late for the parking garage that closed at 9pm.  Woops!!!  So we had two choices call for two cabs to take us 30 minutes back to our hotel that night and again in the morning or call and have them come back for $100 dollars in an hour and a half and open the garage back up for us.  We decided to hang next door in the hotel lobby until they came to let our car out.  Everyone was worn out by then and ready for the hotel room.  Lucky they came and we got our car!!!  Next time we decided we are making Daddy pay the extra $5 to park closer and one open 24/7.  Luckily we all had a good laugh about our adventure!  That is the best thing about  vacation because besides the extra cost it didn't really matter because we did have anywhere we had to be.
