Christmas Dinner with Di

On Christmas day later in the afternoon we went to Grandma Di's house. The Hillerman's came over before dinner to exchange gifts. Abby really wanted to help Uncle Steve open his gift. Aunt Carol is always so sweet to the kids and always brings them something. It is always fun to see Cousin Lisa, Mike, Heather and the boys also.

After dinner Grandma Di showed us all a heritage book she had made for everyone with

her Italian ancestors. It was very cool. She took a trip to Italy a few years ago and was able to get some family history for the books. What a treasure.

Next we went in and everyone got a stocking. It is amazing that she fills all of those stockings each year. The funny thing is that as soon as everyone is almost done going through their stocking she comes out with bags of stuff that wouldn't fit. This year it was a couple of laundry baskets. There is always a movie ticket and Cookie in it the kids love!

Next we unwrap gifts. Abby was so excited to get lots of her own dress up stuff. I am not sure we are going to be able to take it off her for the next few weeks.
