This year we decided to surprise the kids with the Elf on the Shelf book. Todd grew up with an elf named Brownie 99 so we though we would carry on the tradition. They came home one day and found it on the doorstep. Inside was a book telling them about the special elf Santa was leaving them. They had to name him and he would watch over them everyday. Each night while they were asleep he would report back to Santaand the next morning they would have to find him. They couldn't touch him or he would lose his Christmas magic. The kids were surprisingly good about leaving him were they found him each morning and loved seeking him out. Here are a few of the crazy places we found our little elf the kids named Sir Jolly.
