Summer Nights

We love summer nights. We don't have to go to bed early and we can spend more time with family and friends. We love taking walks, making forts and sleeping in the playroom, playing dodge ball in the backyard, late movie parties and watching the sunset at the beach.
Abby loves salt water corn for dinner and the other kids love roasting hot dogs. Mom and Dad love getting real, sand free food on the drive home while the kids are sleeping!

The kids always love playing in the waves when the tide gets high!

Bye, bye the sandcastles of the day.
We always seem to see a couple of dolphins around this time of night.

These are just a few reasons we love summer nights!

Happy Fourth of July!

After a fun filled day of swimming we had some friends over to BBQ and watch the fireworks. Pechanga did fireworks so we had a great view from our deck on our house.

We had lots of yummy food!!!
Abby sporting a sweet Binky are friend Jeff say in an airport gift shop and brought it back for Abby. The kids think it is hilarious when she waddles around with this on.
We made our famous red, white and blue drinks.
The kids love it and think that we can do magic!

Everyone brought over either their bikes or scooters and we decorated them
with balloons and steamers.

When it got a little dark we brought out the red, white and blue glow sticks.
We also had a flashing beach ball we played glow in the dark volleyball.

When the fireworks started we all hurried up to the deck and watched the fireworks. A perfect view. Then Todd, Garth, and David jammed on the guitar while the kids enjoyed a late night of fun with friends.
We are so proud to be Americans and enjoy the freedoms we have!!!

Pool Party

We had an annual pool party at the Peterson's amazing pool during the day on the 4th of July. We all had a great time. Abby loved climbing back and forth over the rocks to the hot tub and back. She is a little too adventurous sometimes. We though we would try out the slide with her and she loved it. You can't tell by the photo, but she was laughing at the end and pointed to go down again and again.
Here is some video of Abby jumping in and out of the water.
Her laugh is so cute.
Below is Madison and Daddy going down the slide.
This is the first time Hailey jumped of the top. She refused when I asked her and then ten minutes later she just went over and jumped off. Now she goes right to it every time.

Beach Baby's Mud Bath

Abby is a total beach baby. She doesn't mind the sand at all. While at the river I looked down and saw her shampooing her head with mud. She was giggling the whole time. When I went to wash her she would push me away and smile.
She really knows how to relax after a good mud bath!
