Getting Ready for Christmas

We are officially ready for Christmas. The house is all decorated. I am always glad when the lights are all on so I don't have to stress out about Todd hanging of the edge of highest roof anymore. He insists on lights up high. When they are done they look good, but I hate the process. All the baking is done. Twelve dozen cookies exchanged and delivered. I don't really like the baking part but I still do it.
All of the shopping and wrapping is done. Cards are mailed, friend and neighbor gifts delivered. I love this part.

Santa's cookies are decorated (thanks Tammye for the kit, I didn't feel like baking again) and the milk is set out.

I love Christmas Eve because everything is calm and we can spend time together. Every year before the kids go to bed Todd reads the kids a book under the tree. This year Grandma Di sent us a book with her voice reading "The Night Before Christmas". At first Abby and Madison started looking around for her when she started reading. It was very cute.

Happy Christmas Eve!
