In first grade they did some social studies activities all week about the Pilgrims. One day I went in to help them make candles for their Day a Long Time Ago.
Another day they dressed as Pilgrims and made a village like the Pilgrims had lived. Madison was one adorable Pilgrim. She could not get over the fact that there were no bathrooms on the Mayflower. She said she knows the reason they came to America, "to go to the bathroom and take a shower!" Funny girl!
