Young Women and Excellence

It has been a very busy few weeks with lots of stuff going on.  Luckily everything is all coming together and it is almost Thanksgiving break.  Tonight was Young Women in Excellence.  I helped with preparing for the night and was super happy how it all came out.  The theme was Aspire to Something Higher.  We talked about how doing personal progress will help get you to the temple.  I was able to find frames to a dollar to give all the girls with the temple that says Aspire to Something Higher.  I love a good deal, especially when buying for 40 girls!

My friend Lisa and I made these temple centerpieces.  She did an amazing job cutting them out to look like the San Diego temple.  The girls all brought things they were working on and some shared some of their talents. 

This is the slide show I put together after we took our girls to the temple one Sunday afternoon to break our fast on the temple grounds. 

We have great girls in our ward and it turned out to be a great night for their parents to see the things they are accomplishing.
